Description

Cees Braakman rare birch edition cupboard with metal base in good condition. Designed by Cees Braakman in the 1958. Slight signs of use. Has a mirror on the inside of the left door. Has the Pastoe logo on the inside of the cabinet.

Dimensions: height 172 cm, depth 55 cm, width 150 cm.

Cees Braakman trained at Pastoe(UMS), where he worked through all the departments. From 1949 until 1968 Braakman designed most of the Pastoe models, which were usually part of a complete series of furniture and cabinets. In the fifties Braakman was sent to America to study production processes and visited Herman Miller where he was inspired by the work of Charles and Ray Eames. He was among the first in the Netherlands to apply the new High Frequency pressing technique to make plywood.
