Description
This original mid-century modern coffee table was designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe, a celebrated Dutch furniture maker known for timeless and innovative design. Dating from the 1960s, it represents the elegance and simplicity of Dutch modernism.
The table features a rectangular light gray Formica top with a beautiful design, resting on four tubular nickel-plated steel legs. The legs can be unscrewed for easy removal, making the piece both practical and versatile. Thanks to its long, low proportions, it can function not only as a central coffee table but also as a wall unit table, placed neatly against the wall for a different interior arrangement. Its minimalist silhouette allows it to blend effortlessly into both vintage-inspired and contemporary interiors.
Dimensions and materials:
Measuring 150 cm in length, 45 cm in width, and 40 cm in height, it offers a spacious yet understated presence. The original Pastoe logo is preserved underneath, attached on a small metal plate, confirming its authenticity.
Crafted from durable Formica and nickel-plated steel, this collectible table remains in good vintage condition, with only slight signs of use consistent with its age, as shown in the detail photos. A rare opportunity to own an authentic Cees Braakman creation, this vintage Pastoe coffee table brings the character and craftsmanship of Dutch mid-century modern design into any living space.
