Finnish design Lisa Johansson-Pape studied furniture design. In 1937, she worked for the Stockmann department-store company’s design office creating furniture and carpets. Her furniture designs were simplified, functional and very organic in form. In 1942 she began working for the Orno lamp and light-fixture factory. The designs were mainly made from metal and acrylic. At the Milan Triennial of 1954 her lamps and light fixtures were awarded a gold medal.
