Studied at the Danish School of Art and Crafts in Copenhagen. He studied under Hans Wegner one of the great masters of Danish design. Kjaerholm is one of the most modern of the Danish furniture designers. He was one of the first Danish designers to use metal instead of wood for the construction of furniture.
