Description

Designed by Finnish designer Ilmari Tapiovaara, the Domus chair is a classic of Scandinavian modern design. Originally created in 1946, it is known for its distinctive curved plywood seat and backrest, compact proportions and functional design.

This black Artek edition dates from 2015 and retains its original label. A timeless chair that works equally well as a dining chair, desk chair or standalone piece.

Condition: Good used condition, with signs of use consistent with age. Original label present.

How to Order

At Bom Design Furniture, we aim to make purchasing vintage design straightforward and personal. Whether you are ready to purchase or would like some additional information, you are welcome to contact us through the Order / Request Info button on each product page.

1. Choose an item

Browse our collection and select a product to view its description, photographs, condition details and pricing.

When you find something you are interested in, click the Order / Request Info button.

2. Send your enquiry

Complete the short form with your name, email address and country. The product name will automatically appear in the subject field.

In your message, please include:

The quantity you would like to purchase.
Your delivery address, so we can confirm the shipping costs.
Your telephone number for the courier, if required.
Any questions or special shipping requests.

There is no obligation to purchase when submitting an enquiry.

3. Shipping and confirmation

Shipping prices for the Netherlands, the EU and the rest of the world are indicated in the product description.

We will personally confirm the item's availability, shipping costs and total amount before you proceed with payment.

4. Payment

Once everything has been agreed, we will send you an order confirmation with the total amount and payment details.

Payment can be made by bank transfer or PayPal. If you prefer PayPal, we can send you a payment request by email.

5. Packing and dispatch

After receiving your payment, we carefully prepare your order for shipment. Orders are normally dispatched within 2–4 working days.

We take care to package each item appropriately for safe transport.

Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you the tracking information.

6. Delivery

Delivery times depend on the destination and the shipping service. International deliveries may also be subject to delays caused by customs procedures.

Please note that local import duties and taxes may apply. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer and are payable to the relevant customs authorities.

Shipping to the United States

For orders shipped to the United States, an additional 16% is added to the total price to cover import tariffs, which we pay in advance on your behalf.
