Description
Amazing mid century Charles Eames DKR-2 chairs with the original Alexander Girard upholstery from the sixties. Rare early version of the DKR-2 with original Alexander Girard designed fabric (the exact same as in the 1000 chairs book from taschen). The chrome has some rust and corrosion especially to the lower base due to the age of the chairs which gives them that extra vintage look. There are some signs of wear to the fabric and they don’t have any filling. The bases and bikini’s were originally purchased together in the fifties/sixties by the first owner. A real eye catcher museum piece for all you Eames collectors out there !
Great looking icon for your vintage design interior!

Begun in the mid-1940s and continuing through the early 1960s, the program was spearheaded by John Entenza, the publisher of Arts and Architecture magazine. From 1946 till 1988 they had their Office in Venice, Los Angeles, California.
